Communicate with your client frequently and CC your instructor on all communications. Frequent communication prevents misunderstandings from developing and builds stronger relationships.

Report an problems early. If you are having trouble communicating with your County/City contact or obtaining data, let your faculty and PALS staff know ASAP so that project progress is not impeded.

Be open-minded about the project at hand. At times, you may be performing work outside your field of expertise. This happens in the professional world all the time, so be flexible but don't hesitate to reach out to your instructor or client if you need assistance.

Have fun! This is a unique experience and one that we hope will help build your skills, credentials, and confidence.
