Zhenpeng (Frank) Zou is a PhD research assistant at NCSG. He’s a PhD candidate in the urban and regional planning and design program at the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Frank has a strong background in quantitative analysis and data analytics. His research focuses on the equity impacts of the sharing economy (both in housing and mobility). He also takes the leading role in organizing the UMD Data Challenge (https://datachallenge.ischool.umd.edu/) – a week-long data exploration event for UMD students from all academic backgrounds. At NCSG, Frank works at the Transportation Policy Research Group, conducting quantitative and spatial analyses for the FTA Purple Line project and the regular projects with MDOT. In the free time, you may find him at the university’s outdoor tennis court playing rallies.
