Cinzia Cirillo is a research faculty with the Center and is assistant professor at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. She holds a PhD, MS and BS in Civil Engineering and a Master in Regional Planning. She has worked for different universities in Europe and in the USA; she has also served as academic adviser for well known consultancies in transport demand forecasting. She deals with the advancement of the knowledge of the state of art in transportation modelling, and is at the same time engaged in model application and practical problem solving.
Dr. Cirillo's primary research interest includes transport modelling techniques, application of advanced statistical and econometrics methods to travel demand forecasting, survey techniques including travel diary and stated preference methods, activity based models. She has recently enhanced research on stochastic programming to solve complex discrete choice models with simulations.
